Have you considered TV Streamers?

Many Hearing aid users struggle to hear the TV clearly despite having top of the range hearing aids which have been set up to REM (real ear Measurement Targets)

There are a number of explanations for this.
• The distance of the user from the TV
• The quality of speaker/sound system in the TV
• The varying dialects/accents on TV. (if I had a penny for everytime my patients said they struggled to hear american actresses, I would retire.)
The Solution: All major hearing aid manufacturers have a TV streamer as part of their accessories range. This Streamer connects to the TV and when paired with the hearing aid, sends sounds directly to your hearing aid. It’s the equivalent of wearing wireless headphones.

I have recently fitted 2 streamers. One was a TV streamer 2 for a client who lives in Market Harborough and has Resound Linx Quattro 9 hearing aids. Her immediate response was how clear the TV sounded and she reported an improvement in Speech clarity by up to 50%.

Phonak Tv Streamer

The second client is from Loughborough and has recently been fitted Phonak Marvel M90 hearing aids, and has worn the best tech hearing aids for a number of years. Whilst she is very happy with them, she has never been able to hear the TV clearly. This was until I connected a Phonak TV connector to her TV. She can now stream directly to hear hearing aids. She absolutely loves the TV streamer and is enjoying watching the TV as she picks up speech like never before.

Do you Struggle to Hear the TV Clearly. Then it is well worth considering purchasing a TV streamer. They can cost £150-£200 and will connect directly with most bluetooth hearing aids.
