Hassan joined Mandalay school for the deaf (MSFD) in 2015. MSFD provides financial and practical support for hearing impaired and deaf children in Myanmar (Burma).
The charity works actively in Mandalay and Yangon to provide hearing assessments, hearing aids and training for medical staff and volunteers.
Since its foundation in 2015 MSFD has:
- Maintained annual visits to Myanmar with audiologists, Teachers of the Deaf and ENT consultants.
- Provided audiological assessments and hearing aids for children at both schools.
- ENT consultants have performed ear operations for various life threatening ear conditions.
- Helped to train local Myanmar doctors and Teachers of the Deaf.
- Facilitated Myanmar ENT doctors to visit the UK.
